DAILY BREAD: GOODBYE 2013; HELLO PRAYER LIST :)

So what makes you think God won’t step in and work justice for his chosen people, who continue to cry out for help? Won’t he stick up for them? I assure you, he will. He will not drag his feet. But how much of that kind of persistent faith will the Son of Man find on the earth when he returns?” – Luke 18:7-8

Counting my blessings this morning as I say goodbye to 2013. I realise that all what I had put on paper for God at the beginning of this year, God has given answers to them.

I’d made a list at the beginning of the year with expectation of what I wanted to see happen for me. My dreams were huge and I had no means of reaching them, but my faith was also huge as well.

Now when I say God has given answer to them is not because I actualized everything, atleast not the way I’d thought but when I made those prayer points I didn’t even have the means to get them done but in this year 2013, God has supplied the means.

As the year began to wind up, I became anxious and got frustrated at a point because I didn’t see some of the items I’d listed manifest but God helped me focus on the one thing I needed — which I didn’t consider but he provided anyways — that he has given me this year.

It’s so comforting to know that God answers every prayer, the answer may not come as you expect but God never neglects nor forget our prayers. Jesus said men ought to pray and not to faint but He also wondered if there will be any faith left in the world when He returns. Therefore, the problem is not that God does not answer prayer, the problem is we quit praying too soon.

You should know this: when God gives a promise, it is not a matter of “if” it will happen, it’s a matter of “when” it will happen but that is the problem. Is anybody waiting for “when” it will happen?
