So you are a Christian alright. You are living in victory and prosperity. You have put away the body of sin and you live righteously but you are at ease!

You come on social media and give the testimonies of how God has blessed you. How in your mind you think that is affecting lives because you have a large number of likes on Facebook, also your Twitter followers and retweets are endless. Even those of the world have these followers and likes as well. They also touch lives either negatively or positively. I tell you, you are at ease!

When last did you actually preach the gospel? I’m not talking when you get to fly out to a nice resort and get waited upon till the program starts. I’m not talking about the fancy pictures and post on Instagram with the caption “doing it for Jesus/Kingdom.” I bet you that the Lord is not unrighteous to forget your labour of love, save your captions for yourself!

I’m talking about a passion that denies you pleasure. A passion that wakes you up in the middle of the night to pray fervently for a soul other than yours. That takes you to mission fields not for convenience but a place where under normal circumstance, you will rather not be!

Christians! God has blessed us and we are at ease!

We “stretch out on our luxurious couches, feasting on veal and lamb! We like to compose songs, as David did, and play them on harps. You drink wine by the bowlful and use the finest perfumes, but you do not mourn over those who are perishing.” (Amos 6:5-6)

The days of ease are over! You were saved so that you can save others. For how long shall will live a passive Christian life? Remember that for this cause, Jesus lay down His life for you. You haven’t have to endured to death! Let’s go and fulfill our primary assignment!

Pray with me. Dear Lord I have been complacent and I ask for your mercy. I have not given my best for your business. I repent and I take a new leap today. I receive your grace and mercy for the days ahead as I live to fulfill your will – Amen.
