wole oni 4lah 2Multi-award winning producer and Jazz musician Wole Oni was on Nigerian Info 99.3fm with Fola “4LaH” Folayan this morning to talk about his debut single “Cover Me Lord”.

Fola described the single as ‘world class’ and was amazed when Wole Oni revealed that the production phase of the single took about 6 months. She encouraged the artistes to follow after such diligence in delivering their materials.

On a lighter note, Wole Oni also revealed that he plays every instrument except the Woodwind because he was told while growing up that it could expand the lungs and the consequence can be disastrous. This was after Fola said he looked more like an Hip Hop artiste compare to his pictures that has portrayed him as an uptight personality.

Wole also revealed that he will be dropping an album in December with the second edition of the prestigious Wole Oni Audacious, Bold and Crispy Premium Jazz concert. So, brace Up!

Wole Oni 4lahMeanwhile, a controversy has ensued between Wole Oni, Bayelsa State Government as well as organisers of NIBRA/BON Awards, for an unpaid performance fee for the NIBRA/BON Awards in February 2014. In a letter he made available to Punch correspondent, he said he had tried to reach the parties involved through telephone calls and text messages but these had failed to yield fruits.

He wrote, “Being a socially responsible Nigerian, I did the aforementioned in good faith that my money would be refunded instantly at the venue… You however seem to have proved me wrong by your seemingly dubious actions and/or inactions by not paying the debts owed since February 13, 2014. To this end, I find this act a deliberate breach of trust and contractual agreement, especially as a government agent and public officer.”
