In the wake of the Presidential election of the USA that saw Donald Trump emerge winner, an ample number of men of God has chosen to see the spiritual perspective and the positive impact the win could mean for America and the world at large.
Amongst these optimistic clerics is the President of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Rev. Samson Ayokunle, who said President-elect of the United States of America, Donald Trump, was positioned by God to fight immorality in the country.
He called on Americans to watch very closely as the new administration would not tolerate the issues of immorality in the country any more.
According to him, “God has now positioned him to fight the immoral life in the American society; the nation that was once known as God’s own country is vastly becoming Sodom and Gomorrah.”
Similarly, American Cleric, Kenneth Copeland, during the “America Stands: Election Coverage in the Spirit of Faith” live election night broadcast, rejoiced that, as a member of Donald Trump’s faith advisory council, he’ll now have direct access to the president of the United States for the first time in his life.
“I have no doubt,” Copeland said, “if something were to really strike my heart, if God really showed me something that I felt like and that the Lord would say, ‘You deliver this,’ I have no doubt that I could deliver it, and that was not true in presidents past even though we had influence in some areas in some ways.”
“I am totally convinced that if the Lord were to say something to me … that the president needs to hear,” he said, “I have no doubt that we could do it and do it quickly and have audience to say, ‘Thus saith the Lord’ and he wouldn’t just turn it over to an aide or something and just write it off. He would listen and it would mean something to him.”
A lot of people have shamed Rev. Samson Ayokunle on social media judging by the number of scandal and immoral demeanor that surrounds the President-Elect Donald Trump but didn’t the bible say, in the mouth of 2 or more witness the truth will be establish and while we cannot ascertain the veracity of what the CAN president said, we can look into some of the events that surrounds this issue and let you make your conclusion.
In 2015, Paula White extended an invitation to Kenneth and Gloria Copeland, Jentezen Franklin, David Jeremiah, Jan Crouch, Steve Munsey, Rabbi Kirt Schneider, Bishop George Bloomer, Bishop Darrell Scott and Clarence McClendon to pray for the President-Elect and many of the pastors laid hand on the President-Elect including Copeland who was quoted;
“No man can be successful as president of the United States without Your wisdom. And so we ask You today to give this man Your wisdom, boldly. Make sure and certain that he hears. Manifest Yourself to him and we thank You and praise You for a bold man, a strong man and an obedient man.”, Kenneth Copeland prayed.
WND reported signs of divine intervention in Donald Trump’s victory saying that Clinton was leading but things began to turn around when prayer started in Jerusalem.
“Christians from many nations gathered in the heart of Israel to pray and fast for the fate of the United States. Americans knelt on stage as the faithful prayed. Organizers instructed them to pray like never before for a just God to deliver his most Christian nation. They called it the Jerusalem Global Gathering.”
WND reported, Pastor Dan Cummins of the small rural East Texas town of Bullard led prayers for a return to biblical principles.
A large prayer group had gathered in Dallas, hosted by Kenneth Copeland ministries. It was broadcast by the Daystar channel. Presenters David Barton and former Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn., invited viewers to join in prayer.And it was in Texas that the prayers for deliverance were sent around the world, using modern technology.
Michele Bachmann told WND that it was at the time that the prayer started that the votes shifted in favour of Donald Trump.
“At the precise moment we began broadcasting on Daystar,” Bachmann said, “as the polls were still open, and a national audience of believers joined together and prayed in concert, we literally saw the race break in favor of Trump… At that very minute.”
Also, Donald Trump and President Barack Obama exchanged pleasantries at the White House on Thursday as the two leaders began a transition to the Trump administration following a vitriolic presidential campaign.
After the 90-minute meeting, Obama said he and the president-elect shared a wide-ranging conversation that included discussion of foreign and domestic policy. He said he felt “encouraged” by the “excellent” discussion.
Naturally, it is part of the human nature not to be very forgiving but if God could use a Persian king to deliver the children of Israel from the Babylonian oppression and also said of the Persian king that he is His servant and that He is holding his right hand to subdue nation, what we can do is love live and look for His will in all situation. In most cases, the fear of the situation leads to more disaster than the situation so don’t allow fear. Perfect love knows no fear!
