The Gospel star who teamed up with the rap mogul on the song “I’m Getting Ready” off her new album “Heart. Passion. Pursuit.” decided to share her gratitude for Minaj’s decision to praise God on the record, in an Instagram message.

Cobbs believes that the song is going to be a blessing to people all over the world.

“I want to take a moment to appreciate my friend @nickiminaj, Thank you for shouting your praise for the world to hear and for putting your love for God on display, As I tell you often, I’ll say it for the world to hear… I will forever cover you in prayer! Many will be blessed and have an authentic God encounter because of the stand you chose to make with this record and that is all that matters!!!”  she says.

Tasha Cobbs’ song with Nicki Minaj has sparked a lot of mixed reactions on social media but the Gospel singer is not fazed. She said in a recent interview that it “is not an assignment that man gave to me. This is an assignment that God gave to me, and He prepared the way for me, as only God could.”

She said, having seen the Nicki Minaj off stage who has a relationship with God, she wanted to expose her audience to that side of the Rap/Pop star they did not know.

“I’ve seen the Nicki that is off the stage and that Nicki has a great relationship with God. My assignment with this song was for a particular audience. Some [of the listeners] have never experienced God ever and she exposed that audience in her way, to the God that she loves.”

Testimonies have poured in tremendously because of the song, according to Cobbs.

“I would absolutely do it again. I’ve had thousands of people say to me ‘This is the first time I’ve ever bought a gospel album. This is first time I’ve ever felt God. I didn’t believe in God until I heard this song.’”
