Bible News: The Fellowship Of His Suffering

0

“That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death” – Philippians 3:10 KJV

One of my closest allies got a miracle recently. God had earlier told him to stay on at a small pay and inconvenient job. He didn’t like the idea but he stayed on anyways.

While at the interview for the new job, all the interviewer used as reference for the job was all he had learned and done at the small pay job.
I asked him sometime later after he shared the news with me, that did he understand while he went through all he had gone through. He answered me “It all makes sense now… In fact, I have forgotten all about the struggle in this short while!”
I busted into laughter!
All the time, God uses our pain to bring us into closer fellowship with him and also develop our characteristics in the process.
Romans 5:3-5 says:
“Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.” – Romans 5:3‭-‬5 NIV.
Every time we endure hardship for the will of God to fully take effect, we come into his love, we develop ourselves and come to the knowledge of God’s way so that we are able to know his patterns. As we are developed, we are not perturbed by the raging storms around us, as long as we see the hand of God in it, we are at rest. Thus, Romans 5:1 says:
“Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” – Romans 5:1‭ NIV.
The word of the Lord made us understand that the children of Israel whom God had showed up for time and time again only knew God’s act, they didn’t know His ways (PS 103:7). So while your miracle is important to you, developing you in the process of the miracle is important to God! That is what sustains you and the miracle.
So if your inconvenient circumstance seems to have lingered for a while, begin to seek God’s will for you. Don’t get discouraged and lose focus. Your worry does not change anything! Seek the FACE of Jesus, not His HANDS. If you can see the face of Jesus, you can see the light that leads to the path of destiny!
Prayer Guide
1. Father we received the Spirit of wisdom and revelation so that we may know You better.
2. We pray that the eyes of our heart may be enlightened in order that we may know the hope to which You have called us and the riches of our glorious inheritance.
3. Lord, strengthen me with all power according to Your glorious might so that I may have great endurance and patience.
4. And after I have endured a little while, the God of all grace, who has called me to His eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish me.
