Daddy Freeze Missed The Point! Condemns COZA For Allowing Majek Fashek On Alter

Controversial OAP Daddy Freeze must have  missed the whole point of Reggae artiste Majek Fashek stepping on the alter at Commonwealth of Zion Assembly, COZA’s Christmas Carol.

The OAP had condemned COZA headed by Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo for allowing Majek Fashek step on the alter to perform saying the alter is sacrosanct and a secular artiste should not step on the alter to perform.

According to him;

“I am still searching for the sense in this. I am a huge Majek fan, but do I want to see him perform in a church?

“How did we get here?

“Maybe I’m wrong, but I thought christian altars are supposed to be sacrosanct…

“Can a secular musician like Majek perform in a mosque? Have you ever seen an artiste like Majek perform in a Buddhist or Hindu temple? Can Majek perform inside the Okija shrine? or the soppona or ayelala shrine?”

What Daddy Freeze failed to acknowledge is that the legendary singer came on stage after Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo made a call for people to rededicate their lives to God. Majek Fashek who became born again sometime in 2015 came out and rededicated his life to God and sang “Redemption Song” with the choir.

So is Majek Fashek a secular artiste stepping on the alter to perform? More like a new creation bearing witness of what just happened in his life. It was not a performance, it was a ministration of a life bearing witness to the redemptive power of God.

Should he have stepped on the alter? God will bring you to him as you are but he will never leave you the way you are. Muslims, Hindus and co may not allow anyone step on their alter but Jesus tore the veil when he died on the cross and rose again. He allowed usentrance to the mercy throne where we receive grace and mercy… and guess who can come – Anybody!
