Bible News: Rule In The Midst Of Your Enemies [PT. 2]

“The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field;  but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way.  But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared. So the servants of the owner came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?’ He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ The servants said to him, ‘Do you want us then to go and gather them up?’ But he said, ‘No, lest while you gather up the tares you also uproot the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.”’” – Matthew 13:24-30

Ruling in the midst of the unpleasant situation is being able to keep our eyes on Jesus and speaking the word of Wisdom amidst it.

There will be times when you will speak the word despite the unpleasant situation and it will feel like nothing is happening. Some people back down at this point due to discouragement.

But the text we read said the master told the servant to leave the tares in the midst of  growing crop until harvest.

The fact that you are speaking the word, does not mean that the circumstance will automatically change or there won’t be resistance.

This resistance is the unpleasant experience that will make the word look like it is of non effect but be careful to know that those resistances came only because the crop is springing forth!

If you stop speaking at this point, then one may lose the harvest all together but if you keep speaking the word, thereby ruling amidst the resistance, the day when the situation changes, guess what will be the first to give way? Those unpleasant experiences – the resistance!

For instance, a woman who’s been praying for her husband to become better but the man remains adamant and still comes home and does unpleasant things to her despite the prayers. The day he changes, the first things that will signify such change will be that those unpleasant things are no longer happening.

This is to encourage someone today that don’t lose hope just because you are speaking the word and the situation seems to persist. As a matter of fact, it is because you are speaking the word that it seems as though the situation is persisting. If you give up now, then you are getting defeated in the midst of your enemies (the resistance) but that is not the will of God for us, He already gave the instruction for us to rule in the midst of the enemies and all what I have been saying is just to show you how.

Declare these:

1. For whatever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith

2. When the  enemy comes in like a flood… God’s Spirit raises a standard against him
