Does God Show People Their Spouse? Between Carissa Sharon & Follower Who Claimed Engaged Man Was Revealed As Husband

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome‘s daughter, Sharon Frimpong who got married sometimes last year has lend an advice to a follower who claimed God showed her an engaged man as her husband.

Sharon stated this after the follower sought her advice as God told her that the man she encountered on two occasions will be her husband. But there is a hitch, the man in question is engaged to be married. Sharing her advise to the follower she said:

“Please understand that someone else’ s current spouse is not yours, God will never tell you to go after someone that is taken, that’s not the way God works

Further stressing her point she said:

“You have to exercise self control  and start replacing those thoughts with the correct ones, now that you know this person is getting married leave him alone and don’t go stalking him whether in person or online”

However, the real question is not if God will show you an engaged man/woman as your spouse. The real question is will God show you your spouse?

Deciding whom you’ll marry is one of the most important decisions you’ll ever make and will affect extensively the whole rest of your life. Given the magnitude of this decision, it’s only natural to want reassurance that what you’re doing is the right thing.

Nevertheless, because the human emotion is largely involved in this process, it is quite easy to mix things up and think God is the one speaking to you.

God does guide and direct our steps. The Bible tells us, “A person plans his course, but the Lord directs his steps” (Proverbs 16:9). When God wants to, He is capable of revealing exactly when and whom we should marry. While it is true that the Lord directs our steps, every person has to make that call based upon their own communication and relationship with God.

Therefore as much as God will direct one step where critical decisions are concerned, the final stroke is largely based on one’s choice. So He plays the role of an ally, rather making the choice for you. What’s more, it is alos largely your choice to follow His guidelines or not. Every step, every instruction and decision is critical to the final destination. Be wary!
