Nigerian singer D’Banj shows defiant faith in the face of a great loss. He somewhat confirmed the death of his son over his Instagram page.
D’Banj posted a blank black image and captioned:
“Trying Times 💔🖤. But my God is Always and Forever Faithful.”
D’Banj’s son, Daniel III who celebrated his first birthday in May, reportedly drowned in the family’s pool at their Lagos home in Ikoyi.
Tones of Nigerian Entertainment celebrities have poured in their condolences amongst which are prayers from the likes of former Nigerian president Olusegun Obasanjo, singer Banky W, Adesua Etomi, Genevieve and more.
“Sending prayers up for @iambangalee, his wife and their entire family.
“This is a nightmare. Heart wrenching news. May God strengthen and comfort y’all in this absolutely terrible time in Jesus name,” Bank W wrote.
Nollywood actress, Genevieve Nnaji, on Monday expressed sadness, the star actress urged Nigerians to pray for the singer and his family.
“Please join me in saying this prayer as we commiserate with the Oyebanjo family at this time. We can never fully understand the pain of others but every little prayer helps. @iambangalee our hearts break with yours. Stay strong my dear.”
Former Nigerian president, Olusegun Obasanjo who wrote on his twitter handle @chief_obasanjo said “My heart and prayers are with Dapo and his family.
“No parent should ever have to bury a child. As a parent, it’s the worst thing imaginable.
“May God give you the fortitude to bear the loss, Dbanj.’’
