The West African Faith Believers Convention is set to commence on Sunday evening, the 3rd of February 2013. The Spirit-filled meeting series is the first of its kind.
Senior Pastor of Covenant Christian Centre, the event host, Pastor Poju Oyemade made a statement early today via his Facebook account, saying:
“We are hosting WAFBEC 2013 for one purpose. We believe that the move of the Spirit in Nigeria “exploded” when the message Paul termed ‘the word of faith’ started getting preached and taught in its purity. It birthed the golden decade of the 80’s where some of the largest ministries till date in this country were born. We intend to capture the essence of that message because the power is in the message and not in men. We have invited men who were and are at the forefront of that expression in Nigeria and also from the Kenneth Hagin’s Camp meetings. They have responded and i must say i am seeing in them a deep sense of purpose and interpretation of the vision that is amazing. I have known most of them for over 20 years but this is different. Join us from this Sunday at TBS from 5.30pm. God Bless you”
The meeting which would last six days with over 70 sessions would take place at the Tafawa Balewa Square. TBS has in the past played host to The Platform, Covenant Christian Centre’s flagship event which holds on May 1st and October 1st every year.
