“But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.”
– James 1:4
A complete man knows everything he wants has already been provided for him but knows it takes patience to attain it, therefore he’s not perturbed.
Jesus said can a seed grow except it goes into the earth and dies? A complete man knows change, growth are inevitable but so also is being patient because this is the means by which we grow.
Many people want change, but they don’t want to go through the waiting process. But the truth is, waiting is a given, we are going to wait. The question is, are we going to wait the wrong or right way? If we wait the wrong way, we’ll be miserable; but if we decide to wait God’s way, we can become patient and actually enjoy the wait.
It takes practice, but as we let God help us in each situation, we develop patience, which is one of the most important Christian virtues. Patience is a fruit of the Spirit. It’s developed only under trial, so we must not run from difficult situations.
As we develop patience, the Bible says we finally feel completely satisfied, lacking nothing. Even our relationship with God involves progressive changes because their are just too many phases to God that He is delighted to show us.
Therefore, knowing you won’t be where you are forever, enjoy the growth process because you will surely come out stronger, mature and complete, lacking nothing!
