THE BOOKS THAT MAN MAKES AND THE BOOK THAT MAKES MAN

 The search for genuine happiness goes on and on. New books promising an end to heartache and strive, burst on the scene like gigantic fireworks, burn for a while and then fade away.

Henry B. Thoreau said man is a writer of books, a putter-down of words, a painter of pictures, a maker of 10,000 philosophies. He grows passionately over ideas, he hurls scorn and mockery at another’s work, he finds the one way, the true way for himself and call the others false yet in the billion books upon the shelve, there is no single one that can tell him how to draw a single breath in peace and comfort. He makes histories of the universe, he direct the destiny of nations but he does not know his own history and cannot direct his own destiny with dignity or wisdom fit 10 consecutive minutes.

He was right to say our best books and most carefully constructed philosophies fail to bring peace. However, God words has completed the man’s existence by showing the way to peace, freedom and happiness. It points us to Jesus Christ and He alone reveals the true way.
