Mike-AbdulMember of midnight Crew Mike Abdul has been a victim of bad press these few days when according to him, he suddenly woke up and had rumours of marriage upheavals in his home. Mike Abdul in response to the allegations levied against him by these journalists made some pronouncement (based on the authority of his calling, according to him) on these journalist which had spiraled into a controversy of its own.

In defence of his action, Mike said: “Their publication is a deliberate attack on my calling, it rubbish(es) my authority and influence. Whoever does that to anyone is cursed already.”

Without going into the ugly story painted about the minister of the gospel, Mike Abdul, has completely refuted their claims and pointed out that all his well in Spaghetti Records Camp, his home and the home of his signee – Monique, who the journalists dragged into the rumour.

Buttressing his point, Mike said:

“I just think it is evil to try manipulate the public by publishing unconfirmed stories of people that bless Nations with their gifts, talents and message. Words are weapons. Trained journalists should know better. Why should anyone run another down just to draw traffic to their blog?
And suddenly the bloggers started quoting the scriptures to me after I made my statement; It was shocking to me, so they know scripture?”

In further defence of his facebook post on the 30th of October, Mike said:

“What I published this morning is just me announcing the imminent to them. I do not wish to defend myself. I wasn’t accused, I was publicly condemned.”

Mike Abdul is a bonafide member of one of Nigeria’s biggest Gospel music groups, Midnight Crew. He recently started working on his own music while maintaining his place in the group. After the success of his single “Morire” which featured record label signee – “Monique,” Mike has backed up the effort with the release of “Ready to Praise,” an AfroPop song with immense spiritual depth.
