“I want music to be fun again, It’s work.” Marvin Sapp said. “It’s like, you gotta get up, you gotta go sing and you get a check, and that’s cool,But when you’re doing it for a living, it’s not the same as when you’re doing it — even though you’re getting paid for it, it [is better when it] has that level of fun.”
Since launching out into music in 1996, he has recorded seven albums, garnered Stellar and Dove Award wins, topped Billboard charts, and gained widespread acclaim. Marvin Sapp lost his wife and manager, MaLinda Sapp to colon cancer in 2010. He said he has created other streams of income through passion projects that help him cope with the drudgery of moving forward with his music career but despite the singers perspective, thousands of fans are still cheering and getting blessed by his music.
