The Nigeria Entertainment Awards – NEA has announced the nominees for the 9th edition of its award show. It was announced Yesterday at 4 PM on air.

In the Gospel Category, Tim Godfrey, Frank Edwards, Flo, Saqbina amongst others will tussle for the Gospel Artiste of the Year.

Davido and Tiwa Savage have five nominations each in the music category. Also bagging multiple nominations are Flavour, Don Jazzy, Wizkid, Olamide and Patoranking, Chidinmaand Oritse Femi.

In the film category, Accident and Finding Mercy reign supreme with three nominations each.

  1. Na wa oh! 7 ppl in one category? That is whack! Even in the Grammys u have ‘Christian Contemporary’ category, Best Gospel artiste, best traditional gospel, etc. U can’t put urban contemporary (nikki) with traditional gospel (sabina) or with rap (provabs) they should have created at least 3 different gospel categories sha, tim Godfrey is praise/worship sef

    • Steve you are very correct… They should have spaced them into 3 or 4 groups. They didn’t really cater to the Gospel category.
