But what does it say? “The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart,”[a] that is, the message concerning faith that we proclaim.” – Romans 10:8
God told Moses in front of the red sea, why are you crying unto Me, lift up your rod and divide the sea. Exodus 14:15.
Does it sound familiar? Sounds like something you do often in prayers? While you are praying, crying and literally asking God to “come down,” God is waiting on you to “lift up your rod and divide the sea.”
Pastor Poju Oyemade said sometimes ago, it was an okay principle before Jesus Christ came and died for us to ask God to come down and help us when we need saving but after Jesus came and died, He came down once, went into the grave once, came up out of it and saved us once and for all.
Paul echoing what Moses said at a time, put this into perspective when he said don’t ask who will go up to heaven to bring down Jesus or who will go into the grave to raise Him from the dead. The word, just like the lifted rod of Moses is near you and in your mouth. He is simply saying, don’t ask who will go and convince that employer to give you that job, or who will tell that medicine to work for your healing, or who will help you get that fund to pay your rent, school fees and so on.
Jesus already came down and saved you, you only have to know it and acknowledge that fact then with your mouth activate what needs to be activated at that point in time.
