#SelahMusic: Assent Tweed | Our God Is Able

In the last year, Assent Tweed’ star has risen to higher levels of glory, as he spread his wings through undertaking various projects that have exposed the world to his multifaceted talent.

Having burst unto the gospel music scene in 2007 with his debut album “Here’s my Heart” which saw the recording of his first video of the single “Let’s Get Party” taken from said album. 2009 saw the release of his 2nd album “Greater (I Can Feel It) which set a higher standard for rock gospel musicians globally. Two videos were spawned as a result of this album, the title track “I Can Feel It” and the traditional Xhosa hymnal “Kubo Bonke” featuring “The Gospel Stepper” Martin PK.

Numerous music awards and accolades later, Assent Tweed embarked on a series of music concerts, bringing his unique brand of music to his adoring fans worldwide. Kicking off with the “Love Experience” Concert in early 2012 at the Lyric Theatre in Gold Reef City, followed by the Higher Life Conference Cape Town 2012 in March with Pastor Chris Oyakhilome where he sang the hit single “Mr Winner Man” for the first time ever, he featured at the “Queen of Song” Sinach Live in Concert in September 2012 again at the Lyric Theatre at the Gold Reef City in Johannesburg, South Africa. In the month of October, he traveled into Europe where he had been invited to headline in music concerts in Venice-Italy; Paris, France; Germany and various states in Nigeria.

The multi-talented singer, songwriter, instrumentalist ( keyboardist) and music director at Christ Embassy Southern Africa, has also recently participated in musical plays both in South Africa and Nigeria, showing off his versatility with excellent character assimilation. In 2013, Assent Tweed further stretched his abilities as a co-producer of a hit reality television show “Dynasty Music” currently on air exclusively on LoveWorldSAT (loveworldsat.org). He also directed the Grand Opening Ceremony of the recent Higher Life Conference Johannesburg 2013 with Pastor Chris Oyakhilome. In April 2013 he was privileged to be in Nigeria for an Easter concert in Kano State and in May 2013 he was also privileged to perform in a youth conference in Bremen Germany, which had attendance of most Europe countries including Algeria, Italy and many more. Getting ready and preparing for his Europe Tour starting in April. He recently released an Album Which he titled ‘PROJECT WINNER MAN’. With hit song like “Mr Winner Man” and “We Praise You”, an urban praise song…. Assent Tweed is currently working on his 4th album, which will include hit singles “Our God is Able.

Assent Tweed started his Europe tour on the 14th of April and has recorded many successes.
