“In the good Dr’s very South African accent he said ‘this is quite miraculous Darlene’!!,” says Zschech in a blog post of her recent visit with her husband Mark, to the surgeon’s office during the first round of checkups and scans since surgery and chemotherapy.
“We have wept, danced, hugged our arms out, and have literally just said THANK YOU to Jesus as many times as one can,” she writes.Thanking all who have prayed for her during her battle against cancer, she says: “Again, I thank each and every one of you for your relentless prayers, I have felt the effects of them a million times over, and I just sit here today, one very grateful woman.“Life will never be the same, I believe it will be SO much better. Even though I will have checkups every four months, and will be on medication for 10 years, I feel I have been given an official ‘second half’.. one which is dedicated to the things of God like never before.”
The former Hillsong worship leader and pastor, who released her first solo album, Revealing Jesus, last year, says that in other momentous news in her family over the last two weeks is that her middle daughter, Chloe, has become engaged.
Also, Darlene will release her new album ‘In Jesus Name – A Legacy Of Worship & Faith’ on 10th February 2015. The new album is described as a celebration of the ministry of Darlene Zschech. This collection contains 15 songs, including ‘Shout To The Lord’, ‘Power Of Your Love’, ‘The Potter’s Hand’, ‘Worthy Is The Lamb’, ‘Victor’s Crown’ and ‘In Jesus’ Name’. Also included is a new song, ‘My Highest Hope’, which was written by Darlene during her recent battle with cancer.
