Her music has a higher level of intellectual and profound, deep-rooted philosophy that makes one ponder upon their relationship with God and that is what she aims to do with her music: bring people closer to God and inspire the spiritual side in them. Her style of music is mostly Urban Praise or Gospel/ Negro Spiritual but she sometimes also likes to challenge Jazz tunes and put her powerful vocals into Jazz music.
While being a biomedical scientist and a cancer research specialist, she is currently working on her album project with the help of renowned producers such as Wole Oni, Evans Ogboi and a few others. Her latest single titled ‘Forever’ is due for release early February. This song produced by Evans Ogboi was received by Toluwanimee in the place of deep meditation and prayer to God, and it is her prayer that as people worship with this song, they will encounter the eternal God.
The song itself is a song of worship that speaks about finding one’s spiritual side and their connectivity with their creator. In this song she speaks about being truly devoted to God for he is the one and only. Here is what Touwanimee herself had to say about the melody ‘Forever’, I was in my quiet place in a deep session of worship and while just meditating on the supremacy of God, and His word, how he says a thing and it is settled forever and the song came to me, all of the chorus and the first verse and so I decided to record it, while recording my producer asked if I had a bridge, I didn’t and he said go get one and I went back to that same place of worship and there it was I got the bridge ‘let praise rise to you, you are holy, you are holy’. I am totally blessed and lifted by this song.” And I pray that you are blessed and lifted.
Her full project is set to be released later in 2015 which will include songs recorded during her live worship concert in 2013 titled ‘Not Just A Song’ and previously released singles.
