Sfiso said he has always wanted to win the Metro FM Awards eversince he started singing in 2003, therefore this award is a dream come true for him.
“I feel my previous record labels didn’t have faith in me as they had never put my name forward for Metro awards nominations… Last year I was heartbroken when I wanted to enter the awards but was told it was too late… This year I made sure that my name would be listed among other gospel stars eyeing the award.”
Sfiso was nominated alongside other South African Gospel greats such as Rebecca Malope and Khaya Mthethwa.
Similarly, Sfiso has also been nominated in the upcoming South African Music Awards (SAMA) 2015 in the Best Traditional Faith Album for his new album “Bayede Baba” alongside Andile Kamajola, Ungibiyele, Rebecca Malope, Rofhiwa Manyaga and Worship House
Loyiso Bala, Khaya Mthethwa, Tybelo and other contemporary acts were nominated for the Best Contemporary Faith Music Album.
The winners will be announced on 19 April at the glitzy event at Sun City.
