Michelle Williams was credited for the song “Say Yes” which has its origin from Nigeria but the author remains unknown. Commenting on the development, UK based Ghanaian gospel singer Sonnie Badu said artiste should be knowledgeable enough to register their song rather than jump on social media to share it.
He said;
This is to my african family , when you write a song and you don’t register it someone can write a few verses and claim it, now rather and talking learn how it is done.. This song is 30 years old, but she brought it to live and owns it now.. Well done.. That’s showbiz … Learn and stop complaining … Also when you get a song in the spirt, don’t rush to social media and sing it on, anyone can take it once it’s not registered… Think smart .. Don’t rush to impress .. Register it first , if you want to know how to register a song internationally hit at me I will show you… We need knowledge .. It’s power.. Don’t sweat in vain , your children must eat from your hard work.. #wakeupAfrica
