Ace comedian Julius Agwu is all revved up for his upcoming show, “Life As I See It… The Rebirth.” billed for February 7, 2015, at the Eko Convention Centre, Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, according to the Rivers State native, is to show the world what God is doing in his life.
At the launch for newsmen in Victoria Crown Plaza Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos,Julius Agwu explained in details why he is holding the concert and what to expect.
“I want to do this event to tell the story of God’s glory in my life. Though my production company, Reel Laif is behind the concert, it will be staged under my foundation, Julius Agwu Foundation, which I’ve set aside as a platform to reach out to the needy and less privileged in the society.”
The show will parade notable comedians such as Eddy Kardi, Seyi Brown, Buchi Senator, Dan De Humourous, Mimicko, Romeo, Oyibo Princess and others. Musicians on the bill include Elegant Stallion, Onyeka Onwenu, Yinka Ayefele, Tye Tribbett, Timi Dakolo, Banky W, Bez, Waje, Effya and will be hosted by America’s Steve Harvey.
“It will be an opportunity to thank God for sparing my life. Now, I’ve realised that the real life is in Christ. In everything I do, I will serve him. Yes, we are human, but I’ve decided to live in Christ,” he said.
The music comedian who said that similar event will also be staged in Abuja on Valentine’s Day also revealed that he has recorded a new track entitled Second Chance, with a video to complement it.Late last year, the Mayor of the City of Riverdale in Georgia, USA, honoured the comedian with a proclamation; the Sheriff in the chambers of the city honored him with recognition as a Deputy Sheriff.“I now have citizenship in Riverdale, Georgia. They have already given me a piece of land to build my foundation,” Julius Agwu said.
