In those days while growing up, we used to sing songs like ‘Colourful and bright, I must get there… my future is bright, I must get there, my future is colourful, I must get there’. Fast forwarding yesterday into today, which is the ‘future’ of yesterday;  How colouful has it become?

How close have you gotten to the colourful future you sang about yesterday?

‎I know it’s way beyond the beginning ‎of the year and I also know the year 2016 is fast running and it’s quite a shock that the 1st quarter is gone already. Sitting by my bed side window, I decided to take stock of all that has happened thus far, and to remind myself of the channel I discovered some time back. I am very much aware that there are many out there‎ who may not be where they intend to be yet, so I decided to share my discovery and easy-to-do list as my special birthday gift to the World‎!

Thank you for allowing me bring this Colourful magic bird into your homes, as God begins to do a quick work on your lives…

1. FIND STRENGTH IN GOD

When life throws stones at you and it seems that all hope is lost, when circumstances leave you drained, find strength in times of weakness, and courage to move on, in God. ‎He has the plan, the blueprint, and He knows the way.

Is 40:29 says ‘He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might He increaseth strength’

‎Don’t accept defeat in the battles of life, because you feel‎ demoralized. Believe in yourself, shine your light anyway and see the huge difference it makes.

2. CHALLENGE YOURSELF

As you chase after the reality of your dreams, it is important to develop a clear vision and focus on what ‎you want to achieve, pegging a time frame to it. As you set out to be more successful, ask yourself;

* What should I be doing with my life right now?

* What have I focused on in the past weeks?

* What I have focused on, is it bringing me joy/fulfillment?

* Do I like the person I have become in the past 3years?

* What do I really want to achieve with my life?

* If I continue doing what I am doing, what will my life look like?

* If I can do one thing differently, what would it be?‎

Visualize your goals, write them down, have a plan of action and never doubt your success.

3. GET YOUR PRIORITIES STRAIGHT

Life is precious and so is time, make the most of it. Spend the first moments of ‎everyday with God to get the blue print for the day. To reach the World, you must get into the word Josh 1:8. Spend your time, talents and resources with people and activities that are meaningful. Stop wasting time on people and things that add no value or keep you from moving forward towards what you want to be or do.

Rise up early, plant seeds into the womb of the morning and you will begin to harvest from the break of dawn. A man who spends consistent time with God, cannot be ordinary.

4. BE PASSIONATE AND ENTHUSIASTIC

Your enthusiasm and love for what you do, ‎is what will make you successful. Show your passion in everything you do. Let it show in your body language, your smile, your voice and let your eyes sparkle. There is no one, who wasn’t created a genius at something… so find your place and dose it with passion.

5. STOP MAKING EXCUSES AND JUST DO IT!

Trust me, the reason why you have not taken that first step is not important. What matters most is that you take the step NOW! Stretch your comfort zone, push yourself, rise above the sways and soar like the eagle you are.When you set your mind to do things, God alligns His resources to it.

Make it happen now, not tomorrow. For tomorrow is a loser’s excuse!

6. REDUCE YOUR LEARNING CURVE

Why do you have to experience it, when you can learn from others’ experiences?

Take what you can apply from the trials and challenges others have overcome, then tweak the process to fit in to your own situation.‎

7. YOUR FUTURE IS IN YOUR HANDS

The best way to predict your future, is to create it. Most people say they don’t know what tomorrow holds; ‘If you did know, what would your life look like? What would you like to do? Where would you live? Speak your expectations fearlessly into the atmosphere, the cosmos is waiting to be sent on an errand and to deliver your realities, afterwards. Be true to yourself… you deserve the best. ‎Call forth the YOU, you want to see!!‎

8. TURN STUMBLING BLOCKS TO STEPPING STONES

We have the capacity to create opportunities from past experiences and adversity‎, depending on how we see life (Half full or half empty) because there is a ‘good’ in every ‘bad’…. find it!

9. ALIGN YOURSELF WITH ROLE MODELS/MENTORS

One of the best ways to get yourself on track with what you want to accomplish, is by having someone who has ‘been there and done that’. A mentor will be supportive, offer the benefits of his or her expertise and knowledge and be willing to listen to you when you need the support the most.

I for one, have three Super mentors who have contributed maximally to my life thus far;  Pastor Nathaniel Bassey, Pastor Isabella Ogo Uzodike and Minister Sinach… so find yours!

And when you do, mentor others and help them achieve their goals. Leave a lasting legacy!‎

10. BE THANKFUL AND EXUDE A POSITIVE ATTITUDE

Believe in yourself and be thankful for everything. You can have a good intention and be determined, but without a positive attitude, success seems far.

Remember: people will sometimes forget what you say to them or do for them, but they will never forget how you made them feel, in their hearts. ‎

Be careful what you do per time, because someone may just be drawing energy, for their own existence,‎ from all you do.

I have long begun work on these ‎easy-to-do list and I’m riding high on the wings of possibilities. Why not put them to work? Your destiny is waiting to be announced to the world!!
