The single ‘Orun Si’ is a Yoruba word that translates ‘Open Heavens’, Femi blesses God for Mercy which was made possible when the heavens opened for him.
Femi Jacobs (Oluwafemisola Jacobs) is a Nigerian actor, speaker and singer. He came into prominence for playing Makinde Esho in the film The Meeting, which also stars Rita Dominic and Jide Kosoko. For his role in The Meeting, he received a nomination for Best Actor in a Leading Role at the 9th Africa Movie Academy Awards. He also won the award for Best Actor in a Comedy at the 2015 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA).
Femi Jacobs started off as a gospel singer before getting into the movie industry. According to him, both hold different but equal places in his heart.
“Music is how I relax and express the inspirational side of me. I grew up as a choir boy and I don’t think that part of me could ever change. Orun Si means Heaven opens. It’s a song that expresses the heart of a person on an open road, someone who feels some special divine ‘permission’ to live their dreams and be great.” Femi says
