– PITA Calls out OAP Freeze after series of attacks on Christian leaders & wrong doctrines
Last week, Producer Wilson Joel in a very short post, partly written in vernacular, spoke against OAP Freeze‘s incessant attacks on Christian leaders through the media but it was Gospel singer Pita that drove the message home.
OAP Freeze has always been known to be controversial without mincing words when attacking Christian leaders. What’s more is the rain of abuse on any one who dares to call him to order. The twist is that, he also handles the Sunday morning belt on 96.9 Cool FM called Praise Jam where he teaches biblical principles and prays.
In a stern but polite post, Pita addressed the contrast stating that heaven is not looking to employ a judge.
“I’m a Christian and I’m proud of it. I don’t know why people do things they do but I sincerely can’t be bothered about how people choose to live their lives but again there are things that are SACRED.
Freeze please do all you do by all means recognising that it’s your decision. The last I checked heaven isn’t looking to employ new judges, God isn’t looking for who to help Him slander His children. That’s all on you, do not mistake your position as God’s position… Let me tell you why I’m sure it’s not the Gospel you’re teaching.
1. I’m a beliver, so if you speak truth my spirit will leap and bear witness. (My spirit is sitting down staring at u and doing smh)
2. What place does your message leave people? Anger, chaos, evil speech? Unbelievers use your message as a yardstick to mock our faith and Men of God.
3. What kind of people does your message produce? True Gospel produces and pursues goodness, knowledge, self-control, perseverance, Godliness, brotherly kindness and love. A counterfeit message is filled with arrogance and slander, despising authority and breeding chaos.
Is this God or a god speaking through you?
The bible explicitly tells us that wheat and tares grew together as such it’s inevitable that there will be foxes in the kingdom of God. There will be false doctrines and false prophets, it has always been so from the time of JESUS. My worry for you Freeze is that you’re doing exactly what u think you’re not doing, becoming a pharisee.

Apparently, more Christians feel the same way as Pita. After the post, personalities such as OAP Bellarose Okojie, singer Ikayrocks, Ada Ehi, Joy Panam, comedian Emma Oh my God and many more endorsed the post with some also reposting.
PITA recently released his sophomore album, “As I A: The Yearning”. He was also featured on Hip TV‘s The Fuse where he talked about the motivation behind the album and had an acoustic session with members of DRB Lagos.

He does have solid points there.
I think calling out Christian leaders isn’t wrong but it’s the ‘how’ that makes all the difference. Casting aspersions like we’re the only ones who have it all figured out and not with a mindset of love is wrong but many fall into this trap.
An easy comparison would be to place PITA’s correction here, side by side with Freeze’s condemnations. The difference is quite clear.
