The difficult times of pain throughout the world are simply birth pangs. But it’s not only around us; it’s within us. The Spirit of God is arousing us within. We’re also feeling the birth pangs. – Romans 8:22-23 MSG
But a woman will bear the pain with happiness because of the expectation that in nine months, she will birth a new life.
While she is expecting the baby, she does not kick back her legs and relax till its time for the birth, she actively waits for the baby by attending antenatal, taking medicine, buying the things the baby will need and more. It is a discomfort but it is one the woman would rather go through.
Not all discomforts are bad. Sometimes, it is the pangs of the birthing of the desires God has placed in our heart.
At the pool of Bethesda, when the angel comes to stir the water, those who are waiting for the miracle of healing know that it is time for someone who gets into the water first, to be made whole. Although, you are in the innumerable company of angels, there are times that the discomfort we feel is God stiring the water in order to get our attention and call is to actively partake, because we are pregnant with a manifestation.
Romans 8:22-25 says it is God who arouse the discomfort – birth pangs which we feel so that our mortal body can experience a full deliverance. Therefore waiting on God does not diminish us like it does not diminish a pregnant woman, instead she actively awaits the delivery of her baby.
This is why we need the Holy Spirit. We would have not been able to perfectly align our travails with the expected result but the Holy Spirit helps this human weakness because only the Spirit can understand the things of the Spirit. Therefore the Holy Spirit places the missing link between the will of God and our utterances by provoking a spiritual awakening through a language that is beyond the natural understanding. Thus, Isaiah 28:12 says it is the rest by which He will cause the weary to rest. With stammering lips and another tongue He will speak to them. We would have never been able to understand but thank God for the Holy Spirit who helps this human weakness.
It will be abnormal to see a plane in a traffic. Although a plane can ply the road, this is not what it was designed for. A plane was built to fly. Just like the plane, you are built for much more. Don’t get comfortable just plying the road when God has built you to fly! Men are looking at you and wondering because their earnest expectation is to see you manifest your full son-ship! To get up there, a plane will need to apply more engine power than a mere car on the road. The engine power is the Spirit of God inside you. Put it in full throttle and fly! (To be continued)
