In a series of tweets shared on Monday, Fani-Kayode claimed that weapons would be planted during the operation and they will be declared terrorists.
He however did not disclose the names of the clerics.
Fani-Kayode tweeted:
“The plan to storm the homes of 2 prominent Church leaders and 2 key opposition figures,plant weapons and declare them terrorists will fail.
“It is not a crime to speak up for our faith. It is not a crime to stand up against injustice. It is not a crime to fight for the oppressed.”
The former Minister had earlier stated that the bill seeking to establish a commission that would regulate non-governmental organisations (NGOs), will cripple religious organizations like churches and mosques.
Fani-Kayode stated that two key members of the opposition were also to be implicated in the plot. He however said that the plot will fail.
