The Super Eagles stand-in captain, shared a dressing room video of himself and other singing a praise song after Nigeria qualified.
“Power in the name of Jesus, Hallelujah, Amen,
In the name of Jesus, Hallelujah, Amen!” the team sang in the dressing room.
The beautiful moment captured in motion showed the Eagles savour their qualification to the continental showpiece, after their match against South Africa, but everyone didn’t seem to be pleased with the video.
An Instagram user who seem to be displeased with the video of the Eagles’ captain who is known to be a Muslim singing worship, said he was being disrespectful to his religion by joining in the praise and worship session.
The Skipper wasted no time in setting the record straight for the user. In a reply to the comment by the user, he said:
“Please don’t come to my page and talk about religion, take it out of my page please i do what i like not you to tell me what to do okay, keep it to your self if you not okay with what am doing”
