He is also planning to do the same in New York and will need 30,000 signatures by Thursday’s deadline in the Empire State. On the same day of his New Jersey application, West was pictured with wife Kim Kardashian West after the reality star flew down to Wyoming for marriage crisis talks with the troubled rapper over his recent behavior on social media.

Monday was the deadline for independent presidential candidates to file petitions to get on the state’s November ballot, and Friday is the deadline to challenge those nominating petitions.

One of the other independent candidates who filed to appear on New Jersey’s ballot is Don Blankenship, a former coal executive who ran for the U.S. Senate in West Virginia in 2018.

Meanwhile, a Democratic lawyer is challenging the signatures of Kanye West’s presidential petition, which threatens his position as an independent candidate on the New Jersey ballot.

Scott Salmon, who ran for Congress in 2018, said that although West had submitted at least 500 signatures to go to the ballot, these signatures were “extremely bad, almost to an extent. “insulting.”

“The signatures do not contain the required information and many looks like the handwriting,” he said.
