Christian Actor Terry Crews’ Pornhub shutdown tweet attracts supporters

Terry Crews, Christian actor and host of prime time programs such as “America’s Got Talent” and “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?” has condemned the website Pornhub.

Amid allegations, a grassroots effort has been launched to shut down the global porn website PornHub, which has been accused of benefiting traffickers of underage girls who force the girls to engage in sexual activity in videos.

In a brief message posted on Twitter, Tuesday, Terry Crews expressed his opposition to the massive pornographic website, imitating the “defund the police” moniker.

With more than 70,000 likes, more than 14,000 retweets and 3200 comments as of Today, Crews tweet, “DEFUND PORNHUB” is getting major attention.

The famous actor and host also tagged the group Fight the New Drug in his tweets. The organization says it is raising awareness of the harmful effects of pornography and exploitation.

Another anti-pornography group National Center on Sexual Exploitation praised Crews’ public statement in support of the movement to shut down the porn hub.

NCOSE Executive Director Don Hawkins said in a statement on Wednesday, “We need the courage to tell the public that there are big issues with the existence of the largest pornographic website.” As a result, he appreciated Terry Crews for using his influence to demand that the website be defunded.

Aside from being a porn site, PornHub does not require any legitimate form of age verification from users who upload content – ultimately increases the demand for sexually explicit content and puts lives at great risk.

In 2016, Crews posted a video on Facebook acknowledging his past addiction to pornography and saying that his marriage to Rebecca King ended as a result.

Terry Crews pornhub shutdown tweet came following an online petition, launched by Leila McLeot who called for the closure of the porn hub. The petition has received more than 1.5 million signatures.
