Pastor Sam Adeyemi responds to presidency over claim of threat
Sam Adeyemi, the Senior Pastor of Daystar Christian Centre, has joined other prominent Nigerians to call on the President Muhammadu Buhari-led government, to urgently restructure the country.
The clergyman and leadership expert wrote on his verified Twitter handle on Monday:
“When did the citizens become a threat to the formation or reorganization of their country? Effective leaders listen.”
When did it become a threat for citizens to express opinions, even if strong, about the structuring or restructuring of their country? Effective leaders listen.

His tweet was a clear response to a statement issued by Garba Shehu, senior special assistant to the president for media and publicity.
Recall that Pastor Adeboye had used Mathematics to proffer solutions that can bring about a restructuring of the nation.
In its statement, the presidency described the country’s recent demands for restructuring as “repeated threats to the country’s corporate existence.”
The presidency said in a statement on Sunday night that it was “warning that such incidents are unhelpful and unwarranted because the government will not be in danger and will not take any decision with pressure.”
Pastor Sam Adeyemi responds asking how it could be a threat to proffer solutions. He further questioned why the presidency is not listening.
