Welcome to another wonderful edition of SelahAfrik Top 10 Gospel Weekly, a rating put in place by leading Gospel blog SelahAfrik.
Last week was a very eventful week for the gospel music industry as lots of exciting and soul edifying singles were been released so it is only fair to have an even more competitive rating with new songs like Ayeraye by The Stoppable, Eze by Dare David, Na You Get Me by Jlyrics to mention but a few all coming in.
The rating is aimed at acknowledging and spotting top notch Gospel songs from each weekly release and as it seems, gospel artiste all over the country has not been showing any sign of ever slowing down even as the year is just only kicking off, with lots of highly anticipated projects and soul edifying singles been released already.

Gospel music debutant, Maewo is on the SelahAfrik Top 10 chart for the 3rd week in a row with “No Other God” still continues to be a blessing and source of testimony to every listener. The song was at the number one spot last week.
“No Other God” is a gospel song like no other, changing the status quo of what Gospel music is expected to sound like traditionally while still retaining its ability to pass clear messages and also blessing people.

Christian music recording artiste Jlyricz cleaves the number 4 spot on SelahAfrik Top 10, with a new single “Na You Get Me” (Remix) featuring Nigerian Christian Hip-Hop artist and Spoken-Word poet Tobi Toun.
“Na You Get Me” features a lovely sweet flow of interchange between Tobi Toun and Jlyricz with a vibe that is different from what is heard from most gospel songs and we love to hear more of that from the Nigerian gospel scene.
Jlyricz is currently working on new projects but he is keeping the details close to his chest. He is definitely one to look out for in 2021.

2. Mercy Chinwo | Eze
Eze by highly rated gospel artiste and music worshiper, Mercy Chinwo, featuring Preye Odede, is at the number 2 spot this week.
The hit track that was initially released in 2018 climbed back to the top of the ladder following the release of its visual almost three years after its initial release.
“Eze” is a Contemporary Worship single with spirit-filled lyrics. Sung in English and Eastern Nigerian dialect, the song exalts God’s supremacy, while also calling on everyone to worship the true and living God.

1. Dare David | Eze
US based Nigerian Gospel artiste and songwriter, Dare David come with a powerful worship provoking single in Eze featuring Osby Berry is at this week’s SelahAfrik Top 10 number 1 spot.
The song which was recorded live at “Dallas Worship Encounter” tagged “Shift” aims at returning all praise to God and declaring Him King over all things. Shift gear into the mood of powerful undiluted mood of worship to the most high with this wonderful piece by Dare David.
Osby’s energy and vibe brings a whole new vigor to this powerful song.
