The Nigerian gospel music industry over the years has proven to be an important force to be reckon with and this year happens to be no different as Tope Alabi, Mercy Chinwo tops BoomPlay 2021 most streamed female artistes in the country.
According to the top 3 list displayed by Nigerian music streaming and download platform, Boomplay, The “You Are Worthy” crooner, Tope Alabi and EeZee Conceptz signee, Mercy Chinwo leads the category at number 2 and 3 respectfully, which was only bettered by Mainstream Hiphop act, Teni who takes the number 1 spot.

The report was garnered through the company’s 60 million active monthly users across its four key operating countries namely Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya and Tanzania, from 1 November 2020 to 31 October 2021.
Mercy Chinwo boost of over 22M streams and over 2.3M monthly listeners on the streaming giant platform while Tope Alabi also garnered over 18M streams on the site all based on their global data.
