Gospel artist Katy Nichole, made history by hitting No. 1 on multiple charts after a TikTok video of her debut single “In Jesus Name (God of Possible)” went viral.
The opportunity came in for her, after her debut song became an anthem to everyone on TikTok and Instagram and other social media platform. also, she recently signed on to be an artist on the Christian label Centricity Music.
Katy Nichole single became No 1 on Billboard for the first time last week on Christian Airplay and AC Indicator charts.
“Making history, the song reaches the Christian Airplay penthouse in its 12th week, completing the quickest jaunt to No. 1 for a female artist’s first entry in the chart’s 19-year history,” Billboard said in a statement shared with The Christian Post.
Katy Nichole’s viral debut single also continues to be at the top for Billboard Hot Christian Songs,chart for the sixth week. while also topping the iTunes Christian & Gospel Songs chart for the 12 week in a roll.
This single came about during the COVID-19 pandemic. It also as a personal meaning to the singer who is also facing a challenge in her health.
The chorus comprises of Nichole’s journal entries that says “I pray for your healing/ That circumstances would change/ I pray the fear inside me would flee/ In Jesus name/ I pray that a breakthrough would happen today/ I pray miracles over your life in Jesus name”
Her words and declaration sounded so strong of her unwavering believe she has towards God’s ability to heal and the power of prayer.
Katy Nichole was diagnosed with scoliosis before releasing the song “In Jesus Name (God of Possible).” After the surgery on her spine, the young singer who has always been singing in church since her childhood days suffered from depression. Few years after the surgery, Nichole had to go through follow-up procedures to remove the metal rods and screws that were placed along her spine to keep it straight.
She has now moved to Nashville, Tennessee while she’s preparing to perform at various events this summer.
