–Kevin Sorbo Shares Transformative Encounter With Late Evangelist Billy Graham
Veteran actor Kevin Sorbo has shared the transformative encounter he had with late Evangelist Billy Graham as a teenager.
At age 13, Sorbo attended his first Billy Graham’s crusade which was held at the St. Paul Fairgrounds.
In a recent interview with CBN News, the veteran actor said;
“It was so moving for me; I remember it very vividly, and I remember because I did something I normally wouldn’t do.”
According to him, Graham asked everyone to come forward as he decided to jump on his feet and go join the others at the front.

“All of a sudden, a hand went on my head, and I turned around, and it was the Rev. Graham,” Sorbo recalled. “And we had a little chat.”
Graham also prayed for Sorbo as he revealed it in a story on Larry King live. Afterwards, Graham’s team contacted Sorbo and asked him to partake in a special project, which was for him to share his story in the book.
“It’s just such an honor to be part of that,” he said as he noted he took part in promoting the book for the late evangelist.
Sorbo grew up in a very strong Lutheran family and first read the book of Revelation as a young child.
He also shared his experience on how his youth pastor would minister to him and other teenagers during his youth days.
“We had a thing called The Room on Wednesday nights, so after basketball practice, football, whatever, you go to The Room,” Sorbo said.
“It was this double classroom. They had bean bags and couches and stuff when we’d hang out, and we would talk the Bible with him. That was kind of huge for me.”
Kevin Sorbo acted in movies such as “God’s Not Dead”, “Left Behind,” amongst others.
