–Hillsong Church Appoint New Pastors Phil And Lucinda Dooley
On Sunday, the 5th of February, 2023. Phil and Lucinda Dooley were appointed as the new global senior pastors of Hillsong Church.
They took the role of interim pastors of the church following resignation of the founding pastor of the church, Brain Houston.
Brian Houston who formally resigned as global senior pastor of Hillsong Church on March 23, 2022, pastored the church for nearly four decades.

The Interim leaders Phil and Lucinda Dooley were then commissioned as global senior pastors at a morning service held in Sydney on Sunday.
“We believe, that is the global senior board believe, that they have got the spirit of leadership on their life. And as we have come to see them more closely, as you have come to see them more closely, you can see that they follow the Lord wholeheartedly. That they are Jesus followers,” Crouch said.
“The board recognized that they are clearly called by God. And for their part, I know that they are deeply committed to their calling,” he added. “I believe that they’ll lead this church with grace and wisdom.”
