– Kingdom Film Festival Takes “Enoch” Movie To The Cinema

Getinspired Network in collaboration with Kingdom Film Festival curated a cinema experience for the movie Enoch, a bio on Pastor EA Adeboye.

The movie is a collaboration between Solid Rock Foundation and Mount Zion released on the 2nd of March 2023 in celebration of the 81st birthday of the man of God fondly referred to as Daddy Adeboye.

Founder of the Kingdom Film Festival, Ewoma Luther-Abegunde expressed her desire that this excellent movie should be seen on the big screen.

In recent times, she and her team began a movement calling Christian Film Makers to go beyond having their movies only released on YouTube. Christian Film Makers have the potential to be in the cinema space in Nigeria.

This is a niche that years back, Christian movies were aired on mainstream. With the rise in opportunities in the Nigeria movie space, Christian filmmakers shouldn’t play catch up.

We are a city set on the hills, we must go beyond shinning our lights only at the church and at our gatherings. There is a world to capture for Jesus. And the cinema space is a part of the world that the message of Jesus should be proclaimed.

With permission granted to Kingdom Film Festival and Getinspired, the movie “ENOCH” was taken to the beautiful serene Ebony Life Cinema on the 1st of April.

It was such a beautiful day that started with the red carpet, networking sessions, interviews, laughter laced with tasty drinks. After which the movie audience entered the hall to screen the movie. In the words of one of the viewers- “watching this movie on the cinema screen is way and far different from seeing it on YouTube”.

In attendance at the screening was one of the Producers and Director of the movie, John Oguntuase and other crew members from the movie.

After the screening, the hall vibrated with loud applause, screaming and joyous celebration. This was followed by Q and A with crew from the movie.

In her closing remarks, Ewoma Luther-Abegunde noted that this cinema screening experience was not just an event but a movement and that Christian filmmakers will begin to have their movies exhibited on the cinema space.

Excellent is the watch word if we are going to be impactful, navigate and drive a narrative in the Nigeria movie space and beyond.
