Former football player and legend Ronaldo Naźario also known as De Lima Ronaldo, has taken a great step in his spiritual life, as he got baptized.
The former player, who took to his social media page to announce this news noted that it was indeed a great day for him, as the Christian faith has always been a fundamental part of his life.
Ronaldo, who was a key figure in two World Cup victories for Brazil, was baptized and received First Holy Communion at a Catholic church in São Paulo.
The football legend was baptized and conducted by Padre Fábio de Melo, a priest, before his 47th birthday.

In a post shared via his Instagram page, Ronaldo Naźario said;
“The Christian faith has always been a fundamental part of my life, since childhood, even though I had not yet been baptized,” he wrote along with several photos of the ceremony.
“With the sacrament, I feel truly regenerated as a child of God — in a new, more conscious, deeper way. I renew my commitment to follow the path of good, of my own free will, believing in the love of Jesus, in supportive love.”
