Hello SelahAfrikans!! Happy new year to you all. So even as we begin this new year 2024 and with our expectations high, we believe this year, great things would happen in the Mindustry, just like in 2023.
2023 was indeed a great year for the Gospel Mindustry as many captivating events took place. Sit back and relax as we take a stroll back to great events that stormed the year 2023.
We have documented few of these events that stormed the year 2023. Check them out below:
1. SUNMISOLA AGBEBI & YINKA OKELEYE’S WEDDING
Nigerian Gospel singer Sunmisola Agbebi and Yinka Okeleye rounded up the last phase of their talk-of-the-town white wedding on the 3rd of June, 2023.
The couple started off their wedding procedures with a beautiful proposal by Yinka, which became viral, while they held their introduction early in the year 2023, which led to the great showdown.
The high profile ceremony had friends, family, colleagues, Moses Bliss and many others in attendance.
2. PASTOR TAIWO ODUKOYA PASSES ON TO GLORY
Many and the body of Christ were left downcast after the tragic event which saw Pastor Taiwo Odukoya passed on to glory.
In a post made by the church’s official Instagram page, they confirmed the death of the senior pastor, who slept in the lord on a Monday, in the year 2023.
His death was a huge loss to the body of Christ as he was indeed a great man of God and a man of impact.
3. APOSTLE JOSHUA SELMAN SHUTS DOWN A0 ARENA
Apostle Joshua Selman saw his UK conference which he held in the month of May 2023 talked about everywhere as it shut down one of the largest indoors arena (AO) with over 21,000 capacity.
The conference which was themed “Sound of Revival”, took place in AO Arena, Manchester shortly after the coronation of King Charles III.
The largest indoor Arena in Europe experienced a unique kind of meeting on 10th and 11th May 2023 as Apostle Joshua Selman ministered alongside music minister, Pastor Nathaniel Bassey.
4. SINGLES LADIES STORMS NATHANIEL BASSEY’S “HALLELUJAH CHALLENGE” WITH WEDDING DRESS
This became the talk of town for a long time as singles ladies made a stunning entrance at the Hallelujah Challenge event, led by Pastor Nathaniel Bassey, at Eko Hotel and Suites.
The dress worn by the ladies was inspired by the gospel artist, has he urged his audience, during the preparation of the program to “dress like your miracle.”
It caught the eye of most people on social media, sparking various reactions from across the world.
5. THE EXPERIENCE 18TH EDITION
The highly anticipated annual worship event, “The Experience” held it’s 18th edition on Friday the 8th of December, 2023 and it was indeed one to remember.
It is a concert which is hosted by the founder and senior pastor of house on the rock, pastor Paul Adefarasin.
This year’s edition tagged “Jesus Our Way Maker” did not fall short of expectations as seasoned worshipers and song ministers from all over the world led the crowd to a thrilling session of praise and worship.

6. BISHOP DAVID OYEDEPO BLESSES SON AS “ISAAC OYEDEPO EVANGELISTIC MINISTRIES” IS UNVEILED
Bishop David Oyedepo’s son, Isaac unveiled his own ministry, The Isaac Oyedepo Evangelistic Ministries, as he receives father’s blessing.
This was made known to the public on Tuesday, 28th of November, 2023 has Isaac shared a YouTube video titled “Unveiling of the Isaac Oyedepo Evangelistic Ministries”
The launch of the evangelistic ministry generated excitement and anticipation among followers and supporters, with support and empowerment coming strongly from his father, Bishop David Oyedepo.
7. THE OUTPOURING
In what was an amazing night at the Onikan Stadium, as thousands gathered unto God at The Outpouring Lagos 2023, to worship and give God praise.
The concert was hosted by Dunsin Oyekan at Onikan Stadium, Lagos, on Sunday the 5th of November, 2023.
The event was one to remember as the stadium was packed up by the people and the hand of God was mighty amongst the people, rooting great miracles, signs and wonders. It was indeed an Outpouring of the spirit.
8. MINISTER GUC DEDICATES NEW LUXURIOUS MANSION
Award winning gospel artiste, Minister GUC, unveiled and dedicated his new luxurious mansion.
The anointed worship leader and Eezee Conceptz recording artiste, GUC, celebrated and unveiled the newly acquired exquisite mansion.
Breaking the news on social media, EeZee Tee narrated GUC’s journey since joining the EeZee Global family, he revealed that it is a joyful thing for him to see his protege surmount such an incredible feat!!
9. SPOTLITE NATION SIGNEE FESTIZIE SURVIVES GHASTLY MOTOR ACCIDENT
Nigeria based gospel act and songwriter, Festizie shared his testimony of how he survived a ghastly car accident.
The gospel minister who took to his Instagram page and narrated the story on how God saved him, narrated how his car was hit by a trailer.
It was indeed such a huge testimony his car was hit by a trailer at full speed and he came out unhurt , not even a scratch! All glory to God for this testimony.
10. YOUNG MINISTERS RETREAT (YMR)
Pastor Daniel Olawande, an esteemed minister and the host of Young Ministers Retreat, has announced the highly anticipated YMR 2023, which did not fall short of expectations.
The gathering took place from December 27th to 30th, 2023, at the historic Old Auditorium in Redemption City.
Distinguished men of God and ministers, including Pastor E.A Adeboye, Theophilus Sunday, Ebuka Songs, Dunsin Oyekan, Pastor Isaac Oyedepo, and many others were in attendance to bless the people of God.
It was such an amazing time as young ministers were equipped, refreshed, and empowered to bring revival to their nations.
