-Onyeka Onwenu Dies At 72 After Performing A Birthday Party
Veteran Nigerian actress Onyeka Onwenu, has passed on to glory at age 72. The legendary actor gave up the ghost on Tuesday the 30th of August, 2024.
It was reported that the singer slummed after she finished performing at the birthday party of Mrs Stella Okoli, Managing Director of Emzor Pharmaceuticals.
“It is very sad. Onyeka Onwenu just performed at the birthday of Mrs. Stella Okoli today (Tuesday, July 30, 2024), and after performing, she slumped.

“She was taken to Reddington Hospital and she couldn’t make it,” An eyewitness said as Onyeka Onwenu Dies At 72.
Onyeka Onwenu was born in 1952 in Obosi, Anambra State, Nigeria. She began her music career in the 1980s and released her debut album, “For the Love of You,” in 1981. She has since released numerous albums and singles, including the hit song “One Love.”
Onwenu also acted in several Nollywood films and has bagged so many numerous awards for her contributions to the music and film industry.
