The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has clarified that he his a holiness preacher and not a prosperity preacher often associated with some pastors.
Speaking during a recent sermon, Adeboye emphasized that his mission is to lead people to holiness and a deeper relationship with God, not merely to teach about material wealth.
“I’m not a prosperity preacher; I’m a holiness preacher,” he said, underscoring that the ultimate calling of the Christian faith is to live in righteousness and obedience to God’s word.

Adeboye acknowledged that while God blesses His people, the pursuit of holiness must remain the core of Christian life.
“Prosperity without holiness is a dangerous trap,” he warned, urging believers to prioritize spiritual growth over material gain.
The revered clergyman, who has been at the helm of RCCG since 1981, has long been known for messages centered on salvation, sanctification, and holy living.
