Christian music artist, John Mark McMillan, known for deeply poetic worship music and genre-defying artistry, has officially announced that his upcoming Fall 2025 tour will be his final full-scale concert series. This decision marks the close of a remarkable twenty-year chapter in his music ministry.
In a heartfelt post on Instagram, McMillan shared;
“I have some sad news… This will be my last tour. It’s time for me to enter a new phase in my life where music is no longer my full-time endeavor. I want to write books, pour into a new generation of creatives, and focus on local projects.”
While music will always be woven into his life, he acknowledged the practical challenges of the modern music industry;

“Money has never been my primary motivation, but the financial burden of living in a world where music has little or no monetary value has made it hard to find a sustainable model.”
Despite his decision to step away from full-time touring, McMillan assured fans that he isn’t disappearing entirely. He plans to participate in select special events and may occasionally join friends for guest performances in the future.
Reflecting on the journey, he added; “It’s been a beautiful 20 years, and you guys have been the best part. After this Fall tour, my touring days are finished, at least for the foreseeable future.”
