Veteran Nigerian gospel music icon, Toun Soetan, is dead. She died at the age of 73.
The news of her passing was confirmed by gospel comedian Woli Agba, who shared their condolences on social media.
Announcing the development, he wrote, “The message remained the same. The lifestyle remained that which glorifies Jesus. Your transition into Glory to meet The Lord Jesus happened today.

The veteran gospel minister, widely known for her timeless worship songs and decades of ministry, passed on peacefully, leaves behind a rich legacy of faith, music, and evangelism.
Toun Soetan was one of the pioneers of gospel music in Nigeria and was celebrated for her powerful praise songs that became staples in churches across the country.
Gospel musician Peter Olaniyi also confirmed the death, describing the late singer as a legend in the Nigerian gospel music community.
