Myles 7Chairo, the son of Dr. Myles Munroe spoke Wednesday to a gathering at the Global Leadership Forum — the conference his father was to have chaired – telling them that his father’s death in a plane crash Sunday will not stop the work of his ministries.

Chairo told the crowd that while family, friends and supporters are saddened at his parents passing, they were at the same time encouraged and comforted by the outpouring of support they had received.

“We are not sure how or why, something like this would be allowed to happen to such great individuals, but still, God is in control. The past few days have been the most difficult times for my sister and I, my family and all of those affected by this loss.”

“We are all saddened by this tragic event, but we are comforted and encouraged by the outpouring of love and support from everyone around the country and those around the world at large,” said Munroe.

Munroe Jr. told the crowd the he is certain the nine on the plane are with God, and that the work of the Bahamas Faith Ministries would go on.

“We will not allow death to claim any victory,” he said.

Also a recording which was said to be one of Dr. Myles Munroe’s messages before his passing on has surfaced where he talked about how a leader has to go so that the follower can be great. In the video, Dr. Munroe said there can be no successful leader without a successor referring to Jesus as the greatest of all leaders.

He said:

“Success, without a successor is failure… Study Jesus the greatest of all leaders.. he said ‘it is better for you that I go away, if I do not go away, you won’t be great’ He proved His greatness by leaving and His organisation grew in His absence. My question is, if you die today as a leader… in an accident, what happens to your organisation?”

Dr. Munroe also made mention of his organisation saying he has made himself unnecessary. His son 29 and his daughter 30 are running his affairs in his absence and it is thriving.
