The common idea is that the Gospel has to look up to its mainstream counterpart to set the standard for quality, but with the new video “I Overcame” by Ada, you can say goodbye to that era!
It has existed in our minds for a long time, some of us have even spoken about it but on Tuesday, 4th of July, history was made! The revolution was televised! The Gospel became the standard!
Combining state-of-the-art cinematography equipment with original pieces and style, in-depth lyrics and brilliantly conceptualized storyline, Ada preached both spirituality and aesthetics!
The depictions in the video for “I Overcame” is not lacking in the spiritual substance, in fact, you can feel the Spirit well up and stir you from within, and that goes for the audio as well. Nonetheless, the creative expressions pitch the video above – if not side by side with the mainstream counterparts. It will not be a huge surprise to see the video on major mainstream chart.
Having released such videos as “I Testify”, “Only You Jesus” and more recently “Jesus”, it’s only right Ada beat her own record with “I Overcame”. Since there was no other yardstick to measure up to, she became the standard!
