The Nigeria Music Video Awards held last night at the Muson Center Onikan Lagos and Gospel singer Amaray has emerged winner in the Best Gospel Video category.
Amarachi Angela Nwankwo, better known as Amaray is one of Nigeria’s top emerging song-stresses. The fair-complexioned singer has been gaining a lot of plaudits and applauds from music buffs ever since she released the video, Ebi Ebi which was directed by one of Nigeria’s finest directors Toka Mcbaror. She has been rated by critics as one of the most exciting and original female singers in the Nigerian Gospel music scene.
Speaking on the award, she said:
“We won, AMARAY won Best Gospel Video Award in the NMVA!!!!!!!!! Your votes and prayers made a world of Difference. Thank you so very much my friends. Bless be God Almighty!”
Hosting the NMVAs last night was Dayo “D1” Adeneye and Ireti Doyle.

I am sorry, don’t know her, have never seen the video, and she wins in a pool that had Keffi, Henrisoul and the likes? I guess the voting system really works, but doesn’t always bring out the actual best 🙁
Quite agree… If this was actually done by voting, Amaray (who I’m just getting to hear about) has got no place!
