Christian rapper Lecrae took home the Best Gospel category at the 2015 BET Awards which took place at the Microsoft Theater on June 28, 2015 in Los Angeles, California, but that’s not all the ‘gospel’ at the awards. Lecrae emerged winner going up against Michelle Williams, Erica Campbell, Deitrick Haddon, Fred Hammond and Mali Music.

Considering her recent honour at the just concluded 2015 ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Awards however, we think it’s a perfect time to come out! Tone it down a little next time though girl.
Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland also marched the stage and brought the Destiny’s Child back with their performance.

Rapper & former pastor Mase jumped on stage with the ‘alumni’ of Bad Boy Records as they celebrated 20 years anniversary but it wasn’t a shocking sight as the rapper has been performing secular gigs for a while now. It was said in 2014 that he had abandoned his mega size church which had two branches in Atlanta and Phoenix respectively. Ja’ Rule who got converted last year said Mase confuses him as he was a pastor but plays regular secular gigs. Ja’ Rule asked ‘can you do that?’ but concluded by saying he wasn’t in the best position to give an answer to that.
