— Muhammad Ali Dies at 74
The world woke up this morning to the news of the death of boxing legend, dubbed the Greatest, Mohammad Ali. He died on Friday at age 74.
His death was confirmed by his family in a statement where they also thanked “everyone for their thoughts, prayers and support”.
He had battled Parkinson’s disease for more than 30 years and was admitted to hospital in Phoenix, Arizona, with a respiratory condition earlier in the week. The funeral will take place in Ali’s home town of Louisville, Kentucky.
Former Heavyweight Champion turned Christian, George Foreman has paid his tribute to the deceased Champion. In a series of tweets, George spoke of Ali, recalling past times.
He tweets;
Until Ali no one said "I'm beautiful" he was royalty, yet common man was his pal. That is beauty. Greatest kind pic.twitter.com/uX7htKHrGc

Also Philippine Christian Boxer turned Politician, Manny Pacquiao also paid his tribute. He said; “We lost a giant today. Boxing benefited from Muhammad Ali’s talents but not nearly as much as mankind benefited from his humanity.”
Ali was much more than a colourful and interesting athlete. He spoke boldly against racism in the ’60s, as well as the Vietnam War.
“During and after his championship reign, Ali met scores of world leaders and for a time he was considered the most recognizable person on earth, known even in remote villages far from the United States,” Christian Today reports.
