Budding secular artiste Tiwa Banks has said that she has converted her genre of music and henceforth wish to be regarded as a Gospel artiste.
The artiste narrated the chains of events that led to her decision stating her fear of rejection but her resolution despite the fact. She recalled her near-death experiences and concluded that the most recent had caused the decision to not only be a Gospel artiste but the re-dedication of her life as well.
In an epistle that announced the switch on Facebook, Tiwa Banks said;
“Happy new week, this is to inform you all that I am now a full GOSPEL ARTISTE as I rededicated my life fully to Christ to be addicted to His praises and worship alone from now on.
In 2010 I was face to face with death on a sick bed and heard the doctor told my mom that it was the end of the road for me as they’ve done everything they could but to no avail, I sat up with all the strength left in me and screamed “God is not a man that He should lie” then reminded him of His promises, less than 30 mins life came back into me and I started walking and that was it!
In 2012 it was a story a few people were familiar with of a landlord son who barged into my room and almost stabbed me to death claiming “each time I see you I think of what to do to stop you and I’ll do it let’s see how you’ll be bold enough to show your face to the public again” by the time the policeman got to me, a neighbor said with fear that “doctor please are you sure she’ll make it?” He replied “I can’t say!” The police said with sympathy that “someone that can not make any sound nor cry while being stitched, this one is gone”
When I heard that I started praying in my spirit again and God heard me and proved Himself again.
Last week, two tires from d vehicle I was in fell out on high way and all I could say was Jesus, somehow the bus stopped and not even one person in the vehicle had a scratch.
After I got home that day I became restless of what would have happened to this wonderful talent God has been asking me to use for Him and how would I have explained to him how I used it? #sigh

Temitope Maureen started music at an earlier age of 8 as a chorister.
